An Exact Replica of a Figment of My Imagination
By: Elizabeth McCracken
Rating: 5 stars. If the scale went any higher, so would the rating.
This short book tells the true story of the author’s infant loss and subsequent pregnancy and healthy birth. It’s a book about the pain of loss while dealing with the joy of new life. It was excruciatingly honest, but written frankly. It is a memoir filled with emotion, but written simply. And it’s a good reminder that anything we take for granted can be taken away because there are no sure things in life.
A must read if the subject matter interests you. I finished it in the time I was sitting at Honda having my brakes replaced and my car tuned up.
